The Yellow Hex-Logic pad removes severe and deep swirls, scratches, oxidation, and other defects from paint finishes to restore reflection, clarity, and depth. FIX THE WORST SCRATCHES AND DEFECTS WITH YELLOW HEX-LOGIC PADS
Detailers should only resort to the Yellow Hex-Logic Pad for the worst swirls and scratches in painted finishes. Paint correction uses abrasive compounds and machine polishers to remove “dead” layers of paint. This process reveals the fresh scratch-free paint underneath, and improves clarity and depth of reflection. Chemical Guys recommends first polishing a small test spot with the least aggressive cutting pad and cutting compound to test for desired results. If enough defects are removed, continue polishing the work area, then switch to a finishing polish on White Hex-Logic pad if needed. Every pad uses a hook-and-loop interface backing pad to attach to every machine polisher backing plate sold by Chemical Guys. This unique breathable backing material helps wick heat away through the attachment side and advanced vented backing plates like the TORQ R5 DA series and the TORQ22D vented backing plate. Cool pads last longer and produce more consistent and even polishing results. This backing pad is a perfect fit for every standard backing plate, and leaves a quarter of an inch of the buffing pad to hang over all around. This beveled edge helps ensure that the backing plate and machine housing can never rub against the paintwork or the surface being polished.
